FPAA's Spring Policy Summit focuses on trade issues
With over 100 attendees focused on trade issues, the Fresh Produce Association of the Americas concluded its Spring Policy Summit in late March.
“In a period marked by political transitions, the upcoming renegotiation of the [United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement] and the uncertainty surrounding the tomato suspension agreement, this summit helped to shine a light on the complex nature of commerce and policy between our nations,” the FPAA said in a news release.
Keynote speaker Andrew I. Rudman provided insights on the current and future state of U.S.-Mexico trade relationships and emphasized the significance of the partnership, the release said. Other speakers included representatives from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Arizona Department of Transportation, U.S. Customs House Brokers, elected officials and industry experts.
FPAA says its next gathering is set for the Southwest International Produce Expo 2024, Nov. 7-9 at the JW Marriot Star Pass Resort in Tucson, Ariz.
