More than $60 million in specialty crop block grants are being offered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The program, through the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service, gives money to U.S. states and territories for projects that support research, agricultural extension activities, and programs to address the needs of America's specialty crop industry, according to a news release.
Interested parties should apply directly through their state departments of agriculture, according to the release. Information about the process can found at the USDA's website. State departments of agriculture must submit their applications to the USDA by June 7.
