Duda adds Dandy brand cara caras this summer
Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Oviedo, Fla., is entering its 16th season of imported citrus, adding cara caras to the Dandy-brand line.
Duda also imports clementines/mandarins, navels and lemons from Chile, Uruguay and Peru, according to a news release.
Duda’s summer citrus season starts in early May, and the company reports Southern Hemisphere fruit had optimal pre-season weather, leading to good sugar levels and higher production.
“As consumer demand increases, we will continue to fill that demand with high-quality products that we know our established imported program can deliver,” said Alberto Cuellar, vice president of global business, in the release.
Duda is testing new easy-peeler citrus varieties this season, according to the release.
