Braga Fresh bringing new products to United Fresh Live

Soledad, Calif.-based Braga Fresh plans to introduce several new items, including for its Josie’s Organics line, at the United Fresh Live virtual trade show June 15-19.

The company plans to debut a 13-SKU value-added vegetable lineup with organic and conventional options, according to a news release. The organic items will be marketed under the Josie’s Organics brand, while the conventional stock-keeping units will be packed in the Braga Fresh brand. Braga Fresh

“The advantage to retail customers is more SKU offerings with less stops,” Braga Fresh wrote in the release. “Retailers can now source a full line of organic value-added vegetables, along with the organic salads and fresh commodities, in one stop.”

Organic purple baby broccoli is another product that will be launched at the show.

“The addition of this variety to the growing organic baby broccoli category will support incremental sales as scan data shows shoppers are favoring smaller, tender vegetables,” Braga Fresh wrote. “Organic purple baby broccoli adds a pop of color to veggie platters (and) salads or may be enjoyed in a roasting recipe. The striking appearance will grab shoppers’ attention for an impulse purchase as they look for the newest novelty vegetable.”

Also at the United show, CEO Rod Braga will be speaking on a panel during the Organics Live General Session on June 17 at 12 p.m. EST.
