Growers Express, which sold its fresh commodity vegetable and fresh value-added vegetable businesses to Church Brothers Farms, is moving from its longtime headquarters in Salinas, Calif., to offices in nearby Monterey.

The company retains its frozen vegetable business, including Green Giant value-added products, and maintains a 150,000-square-foot frozen vegetable facility in Yuma, Ariz., according to a news release

The company still owns and manages the exclusive rights to Green Giant Fresh’s brand licensing program.

“We remain dedicated to increasing visibility and consumption of the Green Giant Fresh brand and continue to closely collaborate with our valued sub-licensing partners,” Tristan Simpson, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “There is no better time for legacy brands to continue to provide consistent quality and availability when consumers are relying on it the most.”

Other members of Growers Express leadership team include Tom Byrne, president; and Kirk Wagner, general counsel and senior vice president of legal.

“We are very pleased to retain our talented leadership team as we remain hyper-focused on future growth,” CEO Mark Dendle said in a news release.

Church Brothers Farms, Salinas, acquired Growers Express’ commodity vegetable business in early 2019, followed by the Green Giant Fresh value-added lines this January.
