Live Oak Farms, Le Grand, Calif., has started its organic green bell pepper program.

“The topic of growing organic has been on the table for some time. It wasn’t a matter of if; it was a question of when,” Briana Giampaoli, a member of the fourth generation at the farm, said in the news release. “Though times are uncertain right now, I believe adding organics was the right thing to do and will be a successful addition to our product line.”

The green bell pepper season started in June and carried into July with strong supplies. It will finish up in late October.

The bell peppers are packed in 1-1/9 bushel cartons. Other packs can be requested.

Live Oak Farms also grows jalapenos, tomatoes and roma tomatoes.
