Mibo Fresh Foods faces $1.86 million PACA complaint
Mibo Fresh Foods LLC, Fort Worth, Texas, is facing a Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act complaint for unpaid produce shipments of $1.86 million.
The fresh-cut produce company owes 14 produce sellers for shipments from May 2018 through June 2019, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which oversees the PACA through its Agricultural Marketing Service.
Mibo Fresh Foods can request a hearing on the administrative complaint. If the USDA decides the company committed PACA violations, it will be barred from operating as a PACA licensee for three years (or two years with a USDA-approved surety bond), according to the release.
Principals at Mibo Fresh Foods could be barred from being employed by or affiliated with PACA licensees for two years, or a year with a surety bond.
