Doc’s Organics to supply Veg-Fresh Farms with citrus

Veg-Fresh Farms, Corona, Calif., has an exclusive partnership with Doc’s Organics, distributing organic lemons, grapefruit, minneolas and limes.

Doc’s Organics has 700 acres of citrus in Imperial County, Calif., according to a news release, packing at a five-building facility in Brawley that opened in 2017 with a combined area of 40,000 square feet.

Jose Valdivia has joined Veg-Fresh Farms to work directly with Doc’s Organics, Jacob Gracia, director of citrus at Veg-Fresh Farms, said in the release. Valdivia has been in the citrus industry for more than 20 years, working in the San Diego County.

The two companies are family-owned and share similar values, according to the release.

“Our facility uses some of the most modern methods of washing, sorting, sizing and packaging so that we can provide customers with our key values — organic integrity and consistent quality of products,” Gina Dockstader of Doc’s Organics said in the release.

Veg-Fresh is a third-generation family business that supplies retailers and foodservice operators through the Veg-Fresh Farms, Crystal Cove Berry Farms and Good Life Organic labels.
