Crunch Pak’s new Lunch Kitz feature Toy Story’s Woody
Sliced apple company Crunch Pak, Cashmere, Wash., has new a new product, Lunch Kitz, featuring Woody the cowboy from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story movie franchise.
Lunch Kitz include sliced apples, crackers, string cheese and Italian salami, and are in the meal replacement category, according to a news release. The snack trays weigh four ounces.
Lunch Kitz launch at more than 3,000 stores nationwide in October. The suggested retail price is $2.99-$3.49, depending on the market, according to the release.
Ozgur Koc, senior vice president of new business and product development at Crunch Pak, said in the release that the company uses consumer research during product development, and found that mothers are turning to trusted brands during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We use shopper data, matched with supply chain information to create new products that meet shopper preferences,” Koc said in the news release.
Consumer research revealed that mothers are concerned about sodium content in snacks, and Crunch Pak worked with the salami supplier to source a product without nitrate, nitrites and artificial ingredients, according to the release.
