Avocados from Peru get spooky

Wrapping up a record-breaking season, Avocados from Peru is partnering with the World Avocado Organization and Fooddeco for “AvoWeen.”

Fooddeco’s whimsical recipes play up the Halloween theme, and will be used for Avocados from Peru digital marketing campaigns to end the season, according to a news release.

“Peruvian Avocado season is continuing to get longer and longer,” Xavier Equihua, president and CEO of the Peruvian Avocado Commission, said in the release. “This has been our best season yet. Peruvian avocados will be available through October this year and therefore, we want to celebrate and close out an exciting season with this unique and timely collaboration.”

The organization has worked with Collette Dike, founder of the “food styling” company Foodecco, according to the release.

Her creations for Avocados from Peru are:

  • Witch Fingers Avocado Toast;
  • Frankenstein Smoothie
  • Black Widow Smoothie Bowl; and
  • Guacamole Brain Dip with Spooky Crisps.
