Summer favorites make a comeback on PMG

Oranges were finally dethroned on PMG the week of May 4, with Haitian mangoes taking the No. 1 spot, and yellow-flesh watermelon maintaining No. 2. Oranges fell to No. 3, and mangoes rose to No. 4 from No. 8 the previous week. Lettuce maintained its No. 5 spot from the previous week.

The PMG platform connects produce buyers and sellers. Below, find the top 20 searched commodities on PMG during the week of May 4.

Watermelon vaulted to No. 6 from No. 14 the previous week, and strawberries rose to No. 7 from No. 11. Cherries fell a couple of places, to No. 8, and cucumbers fell to No. 9 from No. 4 the previous week. Organic pears rounded out the top 10.

Avocados rose to No. 11, from No. 18 the previous week, and cantaloupe rejoined the list at No. 12. Lemons also rejoined the list, at No. 13, and bananas rose to No. 14 from No. 19 the previous week. Okra fell eight spots to complete the top 15.

The mandarin and tangerine category took No. 16, and peaches rejoined at No. 17. Cauliflower appeared at No. 18, while radishes fell to No. 19 from No. 16 the previous week. Organic mangoes completed the top 20.
