USDA rules Florida man not ‘responsibly connected’ in PACA case
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has determined that Jeff Pfaff was not “responsibly connected” to a Florida company that violated the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act.
Farm Fresh Packers LLC, Pompano Beach, Fla., failed to pay two reparation awards with a total of $304,102, according to a USDA news release.
The USDA revoked Farm Fresh Packers’ PACA license, and barred principals from being affiliated with and employed by a PACA business.
Pfaff, however, challenged his status at the company and the USDA ruled was not responsibly connected. He can continue to be employed by companies with a PACA license, according to the release.
