United Fresh web event to look at resilient supply chain

A United Fresh Produce Association web seminar set for Jan. 19 will take a look back at how COVID-19 strained the fresh produce supply chain and how operators can withstand future challenges.

A United Fresh Produce Association web seminar set for Jan. 19 will take a look back at how COVID-19 strained the fresh produce supply chain and how operators can withstand future challenges.

Taking place at at 2-3:30 p.m. Eastern on Jan. 1, the event will feature panelists that participated in an earlier United Fresh web seminar about the supply chain challenges that COVID-19 brought to the industry.

The panel will be moderated by Melissa Ackerman, president of the Produce Alliance and will also feature:

  • Ted Katsiroubas: CEO, Katsiroubas Bros. Produce, Boston;
  • Anthony Sirna: director of business development, Sirna and Sons Produce, Ravenna, Ohio;
  • Dino Cancellieri: managing partner, Veg-Fresh Farms, Corona, Calif., and
  • Marcus Agresta: president, Piazza Produce, Indianapolis.
