FFVA schedules regional meetings in Belle Glade, Clewiston

The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association has scheduled two regional meetings to provide updates on issues affecting the state’s growers.

The Florida Fruit & Vegetable Association has scheduled two regional meetings to provide updates on issues affecting the state’s growers.

The Oct. 22-23 meetings in Belle Glade and Clewiston are also for non-members who want to learn more about the FFVA and its efforts, according to a news release.

Agenda topics include:

  • Coronavirus Food Assistance Program 2.0;
  • Labor/worker safety;
  • Trade issues;
  • New fertilizer record requirements; and
  • New website and member portal.

Registration is free but required. Meeting information includes:

Masks are required and seating will be arranged for social distancing, according to a news release.

Lunch is provided by Farm Credit of Florida.
