Following a multistate outbreak of salmonella traced to fresh and pre-cut cantaloupe, Stop & Shop has been added to the recall list, according to the Food and Drug Administration. The grocer recalled pre-cut cantaloupe from TruFresh purchased from Oct. 23 to Nov. 11, the FDA said.

The FDA also said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated the number of reported cases to 302 in 32 states, with the latest onset of Nov. 28. Based on epidemiological data collected by the CDC, 107 of the 145 cases reported exposure to cantaloupe and 56 people specifically reported eating pre-cut cantaloupe, the FDA said.

The agency said the investigation is ongoing.

Health Canada has reported 153 confirmed cases of salmonella traced to fresh and pre-cut cantaloupe and six deaths.
