FDA extends comment period for adulteration rule

The Food and Drug Administration is extending the comment period for the third installment of the draft guidance on Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration.

The Food and Drug Administration is extending the comment period for the third installment of the draft guidance on Mitigation Strategies to Protect Food Against Intentional Adulteration.

The FDA released the third installment of the guidance in February; the new comment deadline is Aug. 14.

The third and final installment covers food defense corrective actions, food defense verification, reanalysis of food defense plans and record-keeping, according to a news release.

Comments can be submitted to regulations.gov.
