iTradeNetwork, which recently announced plans to offer its services free to select growers and shippers to advance traceability efforts in the industry, has scheduled a web seminar to discuss its plans.

The web seminar is scheduled for 3 p.m. Central Nov. 6, and registration is online. The company will be exhibiting during the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit expo at booth No. 4223. Fresh Summit attendees can schedule meetings with iTradeNetwork representatives online.

The first phase of the company’s traceability plan is to offer food and beverage companies already in its network to free use of its traceability suite. That will be followed by opening up services to 2,000 companies shipping perishables with a goal of “fostering greater supply chain visibility and enabling more efficient recalls.”
