GS1 US is accepting proposals from potential speakers at GS1 Connect: Digital Edition 2021.

The virtual show, June 8-10, features live-streamed and on-demand industry content focused on the supply chain and e-commerce challenge, according to a news release.

The event had been planned for Boston, but GS1 said uncertainty from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic prompted the organization to return to the format offered in 2020. More than 60 sessions are planned, covering six tracks: grocery, retail, foodservice, healthcare, innovation and technology.

GS1 US is also seeking industry leaders to share success stories leveraging GS1 standards, according to the release.

GS1 US is seeking speakers who can provide insights on:

  • Product and location identification;
  • E-commerce, omni-channel retailing or consumer engagement strategies;
  • Visibility, traceability and inventory management;
  • Supply chain performance and resilience; and
  • Innovation or digital convergence.

Applications are due by Dec. 8, and must be submitted to the GS1 US online portal.

“With the successful launch of GS1 Connect: Digital Edition last June, we are confident that we can share even more inspiring member stories for another engaging digital experience in 2021,” Siobhan O’Bara, senior vice president of community engagement, said in the release. “We look forward to curating a program that highlights thought-provoking uses of GS1 Standards, and how members have been able to adapt amid the uncertainty of 2020 and accelerate digital transformation.”
