Grower, shipper and marketer Alpine Fresh recently broke ground for a new cold storage facility in Sweetwater, Fla.

The Miami-based company acquired 8 acres of land for the facility, which will include a Category 5 structure and sustainable features to support the company’s expanding operations and programs, according to a news release. The building is planned to open in early 2025.

“This building is going to be unlike any other building in South Florida,” Jose Sanchez, president of Alpine Fresh, said in the release.
