Baloian Farms, a family-owned grower of bell peppers, eggplant, mini peppers, cucumbers and squash, has been honored for its business legacy by The Business Journal of Fresno, Calif., according to a news release. The company also grows leaf, romaine, spinach and cauliflower.

At a recent ceremony, The Business Journal presented the Baloian Farms with the Family Legacy Award, which recognizes businesses with three generations of leadership. Award applicants are scored based on metrics including succession planning, philanthropic efforts and business success, the release said.

Baloian Farms was established in 1917 and has remained one of the oldest family-owned businesses in the Central San Joaquin Valley.

“Our strength is our people. That’s what makes us great,” Baloian Farms CEO Tim Baloian said in the release. “We have an amazing group of people who run this company, and they do a fantastic job.”
