Taking a close look at distressed markets for produce, milk, and eggs during the COVID-19 pandemic, a live digital event by Farm Journal is set for April 30 at 3 p.m. Central.

Registration is free and available online.

The Farm Country Update web seminar is titled “Caught in the Food Supply Gap—Why are Farmers Dumping Milk and Breaking Eggs?” and will be moderated by Farm Journal’s Clinton Griffiths.
Speakers are:

  • Rob Barley, Star Rock Farms, Conestoga, Pa.;
  • Jeff George, Finney County Feedyard, Garden City, Kan.;
  • Shay Myers, Owyhee Produce, Parma, Idaho; and
  • Jimmy Tosh,Tosh Farms, Henry, Tenn.

“These producers have a front-row seat to the evolving challenges in today’s food supply chain,” said Charlene Finck, president of Farm Journal. “Their experiences and perspectives will be valuable to the entire agri-food value chain as we work together to keep America’s food supply moving forward.”
