The National Council of Agricultural Employers will host the next in its educational webinar series to prepare the U.S. agricultural community for potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids.
Chris Schulte, a partner at Fisher Phillips will lead the interactive webinar titled, “ICE, ICE, Maybe?” Schulte will review actionable steps for agricultural operations to prepare for ICE and Department of Homeland Security action. Attendees will engage in interactive Q&A and are encouraged to submit their questions upon registration.
The webinar will begin at 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT on Thursday, Feb. 27. Participants will be eligible to receive one professional development credit from the Society for Human Resource Management upon completion of the webinar, according to a news release.
“America’s agricultural community depends upon a reliable and skilled workforce, much of which is made of hardworking people from Mexico and Central America,” said NCAE President and CEO Michael Marsh. “Farmers and ranchers nationwide must prepare to encounter this activity and prepare their agricultural operations and workforce to avoid penalties, liabilities or losses.”
