The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed a complaint for Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act violations totaling over a million dollars against Old West Export Inc.

The company, Visalia, Calif., owes $1.06 million to five produce sellers, for produce received from March through November 2018, according to a news release.

Old West Export can request a hearing; if the USDA finds that it violated the PACA, it would be barred from obtaining a PACA license for three years, or two years with the posting of a USDA-approved surety bond, according to the release.

Principals of the business would be barred from being employed by or affiliated with a PACA licensee for two years, or one year with a USDA-approved surety bond.
