USDA fruit and vegetable advisory committee to meet

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee will meet May 9.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee will meet May 9.

The committee is brought together to look at a broad range of fruit and vegetable industry issues and give input to Secretary of Agriculture on how the USDA can better meet the needs of the industry, according to a news release.

The committee will May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern, and then on May 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., according to the release.

The committee will meet at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City Hotel in Arlington, Va., according to the release.
