The Canadian Produce Marketing Association has launched an online Waste Efficiency Tool.
The online resource, developed with Value Chain Management International, gives businesses a way to address “waste and recurring procedural problems in a structured manner,” according to a news release from the Ottawa, Ontario-based CPMA.
The tool presents 14 steps with understandable processes and techniques that are most commonly used at the start of a continuous process improvement initiative, according to the release. Businesses that have used the tool have seen bottom lines improve by at least 10%, according to the CPMA.
The tool, at https://efficiency.cpma.ca/, is available only to CPMA members.
The online Waste Efficiency Tool has helped companies reduce labor, transport and input costs, according to the CPMA release.
