Andy Shoemaker heads perishable logistics at Allen Lund Co.

The Allen Lund Co. has hired Andy Shoemaker as director of perishable logistics.

The Allen Lund Co. has hired Andy Shoemaker as director of perishable logistics.

He has more than 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, according to a news release. At Allen Lund Co., Shoemaker will identify and “nurture” business growth opportunities, according to a news release.

Shoemaker has run his own consulting firm for the past four years, and was at Taylor Farms for 18 years before that, most recently as senior vice president.

Shoemaker has a background in foodservice, as a national account development, contracting, market share and branding, according to the release.

“Our core business today centers around the cold chain and keeping our customers fulfilled,” Bob Rose, vice president of produce sales at Allen Lund Co., said in the release. “Andy has been in all aspects of the produce business with most of his time spent with Taylor Farms. He brings a unique perspective to ALC as he understands what our customers go through on a daily, weekly, yearly basis.”
