Dean Benson has joined Drape Net as its West Coast sales representative.

Benson has been a crop insurance agent, meeting with growers to outline options, and then became a manager, opening and supervising offices in New York and California, according to a news release. He later opened a crop insurance agency with his wife, Judi, serving producers in Washington and Oregon. That agency was acquired by Northwest Farm Credit Services in 2008.

He was hired by that company as senior vice president of insurance services. He retired from the company in late 2018.

At Drape Net North America, he will again directly service customers.

Drape Net is a crop protection system for tree fruit, guarding against hail, bird and insect damage.
