Ecorobotix, a Swiss agtech and artificial-intelligence company, says Cameron Holbrook has joined as its new CEO of its North American business.

The company said Holbrook brings experience in previous leadership roles at Nutrien, John Deere and Amazon’s agtech vertical, Cargill and more.

Holbrook was selected to participate in John Deere’s strategic management programs and held various technology, sprayer, manufacturing and global roles with the company, according to a news release. He also spearheaded Nutrien’s international e-commerce growth, Ecorobotix said.

“Given Cameron’s vast experiences in the agricultural industry, we are fully confident in his ability to advance the business in North America while providing our customers with high-value solutions.” Dominique Mégret, CEO of Ecorobotix SA, said in the release.

Ecorobotix said Holbrook’s deep knowledge in sustainability and proficiency in AI and automation aligns with its smart-sprayer technology. Ecorobotix said its ARA smart sprayer features AI plant-by-plant software and UHP-Spray-Technology decreases inputs, increases crop yields and lowers carbon dioxide emissions.

“Joining Ecorobotix at such a pivotal time is a tremendous honor,” Holbrook said in the release. “I look forward to working with this talented team to drive innovation and growth in precision agri, especially here in North America.”
