Howard Nager pursues new opportunities

Effective January 6, Howard Nager has left Los Angeles-based Progressive Produce, to pursue other business opportunities.

Effective January 6, Howard Nager has left Los Angeles-based Progressive Produce, to pursue other business opportunities.

Nager joined Progressive Produce as their VP of Business Development and Marketing in August of 2019. During his tenure at Progressive, he had also handled the responsibility of the Citrus Commodity Manager.

Nager has worked in a number of high-profile positions during his long produce career. Previously he was the VP of Business Development for Sun Pacific, the owner of the Cuties® brand. He also held the top marketing role at companies like Del Monte Fresh Produce, Sunsweet Growers, Maui Pineapple and Domex Superfresh Growers. He most recently served on the Board of Director’s for the Center for Growing Talent as well as having been a past Board member of the PMA. In addition, Nager was a past Chairman of the Produce for Better Health Foundation.

“It is time that I move on to pursue other business opportunities,” said Nager. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented team at Progressive and wish them great success.”
