Ippolito welcomes Michele McMillan

Michele McMillan has accepted the position of director of sales, retail with Ippolito Fruit & Produce Ltd.

Michele McMillan has accepted the position of director of sales, retail with Ippolito Fruit & Produce Ltd, according to a press release.

McMillan brings a background filled with experience in the fresh produce industry with progressive experience in retail category management, private label program development and most recently sales for a national grower-shipper.

She spent over 12 years with National retailer Sobeys, where she held various positions including Procurement, the release said. In 2018, she transitioned to the supply side of the industry where she was director national accounts at Thomas Fresh Inc. Her responsibilities included national account management across Canada for all major retailers.

Finally, she is also actively involved in promoting the produce industry through her involvement with multiple industry associations. She was a member of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association Board of Directors from 2010 to 2018 and was re-elected once again in 2021.
