Vanguard Group International, a company in the production, packing and marketing of fresh fruits and vegetables, announced key organizational changes Oct. 1. The company says these changes are key to its long-term vision as it grows rapidly and projects it will triple its production volume in the next five years.

Ethan Williams will assume the role of president of Vanguard International and Vanguard Direct, after successfully leading as vice president of sales and marketing for Vanguard International over the past two years, according to the company. Ignacio Ugarte will be appointed to commercial director for Peru, where he will oversee the flow of proprietary production into international markets, working closely with the global sales teams to optimize long-term results.

“These changes reflect our commitment to continually strengthening our organizational structure, capitalizing on the value of our own production, and reinforcing our leadership in the world’s most important markets,” says Dirk Winkelmann, chief commercial officer.
