The Organic Produce Association has appointed Jennifer Jacobs as its new director of marketing and membership.

In this role, Jacobs will spearhead OPA’s marketing initiatives and lead member engagement strategies as the association continues to grow. OPA says her appointment comes as it expands efforts to meet rising consumer demand for organic produce through stronger industry collaboration and advocacy.

“Jennifer’s strategic mindset and deep understanding of the organic and natural foods landscape will be instrumental as we expand OPA’s reach,” says Theo Crisantes, chairman of the association. “Her broad industry expertise and proven leadership will strengthen our ability to serve members and champion our mission of advancing organic agriculture and expanding access to organic produce nationwide.”

Jacobs has nearly two decades of experience in the natural foods and retail industry and has held leadership roles at Whole Foods Market and the Plant Based Foods Association, advancing strategic marketing and merchandising programs for organic and plant-based products. OPA says her broad expertise in building mission-driven brands and a proven track record of forging retail partnerships will be valuable as it works to expand its membership and better serve its members.
