Scott Harker joins Verdant Technologies as VP of sales

Scott Harker has joined Verdant Technologies as vice president of sales.

Harker worked for Verdant in a consulting role in 2020, and according to President Gordon Robertson, helped advance customer engagement.

Previously, Harker was with AgroFresh Inc., where he was a vice president. Before that, he was regional sales manager and operations at Sinclair Systems International and Crown Label, according to a news release.

In those roles, he launched sales programs in North America, Australia and New Zealand, and managed key accounts across worldwide markets.

Verdant Technologies is preparing to bring its HarvestHold technology to market this year. The technology will allow growers, packers, retailers and consumers to delay the ripening process for fruits, vegetables and flowers.

“This is a very exciting time to be part of the Verdant Technologies team,” Harker said in the release. “We have a strong team that understands the full potential of HarvestHold in this marketplace.”

Harker will work from his home office in Utah, with trips to Verdant Technologies’ corporate office in St. Paul, Minn.
