Sev-Rend has named Brittnie Hammack director of marketing.

With over 20 years of experience in the fresh produce and value-added space, Hammack brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Sev-Rend team, according to a news release. The Collinsville, Ill.-based company says Hammack’s extensive marketing and advertising background will complement its position in the high-performance packaging industry.

Hammack will be responsible for leading the day-to-day management of trade marketing initiatives at Sev-Rend. Prior to joining Sev-Rend, Hammack was the marketing manager at Prima Wawona, a grower-packer-shipper for stone fruit.

“I’m excited to join the Sev-Rend team and have the opportunity to lead marketing and collaborate with the sales and leadership team. The market demand for sustainable packaging solutions will continue to drive innovation at Sev-Rend,” Hammack said in the release. “As director of marketing, I look forward to increasing awareness and sales of Sev-Rend’s unique offerings for the fresh and frozen food industries.”

Hammack’s background in the fresh produce industry started at a young age, working for a family-owned grower-packer-shipper in California’s Central Valley, the release said. Her background includes R&D, food safety, new product development, and sales and marketing, the release said.

“We are thrilled to have Brittnie join our team,” Mark Hoppenjans, Sev-Rend vice present of sales and sustainable business, said in the release. “Her high level of energy and determination, paired with her wealth of knowledge and experience in the produce industry, will help take our marketing efforts to the next level.”
