Micki Seibel has joined Unfold as vice president of product.
Seibel’s background is in venture capital, and she serves on numerous start-up advisory boards, including ZTractor, Ripe.io, SmartCatch and Swarm Technologies. She also is a venture partner at Radicle Growth, providing expertise on companies for investment.
At Unfold, Seibel’s role is to develop and define products to ensure the company is developing the right products for customers.
While at Radicle Growth, Seibel’s background as a start-up builder and advisor was essential, and a complement to expertise in seeds, breeding science and management of CEO John Purcell, in the formation of Unfold, according to a spokesman.
Leaps by Bayer and Temasek, a Singapore-based investment firm, formed Unfold to develop vegetable varieties specifically for vertical farms.
Leaps by Bayer is the impact investment arm of Bayer AG.
