Yo Quiero has named Codie Hair its new director of sales. Hair will support national accounts alongside Jay Alley, vice president of sales, helping drive continued growth for the brand and its expanding portfolio of guacamole, salsa, queso, bean dips and other refrigerated dip solutions across produce and deli departments, according to a news release.

Hair brings more than 30 years of experience in retail grocery and sales, with the majority of his career rooted in the produce department. He spent 28 years with United Supermarkets, where he held roles ranging from produce manager to store management and produce business manager, overseeing all categories within produce. That experience gave him a deep understanding of how retailers build assortments, manage category performance and bring products to market successfully, according to Yo Quiero.

Most recently, Hair worked in the brokerage business, including Schraad Sales & Marketing and Texas Fresh Food Brokers. Across those roles, he focused on building sales and marketing strategies that created mutual success for suppliers and retail partners.

“Codie brings the kind of experience that is incredibly valuable in today’s retail environment,” says Alley. “He understands the produce department from the retailer’s perspective and knows how to support suppliers, brokers and buyers in building programs that work, making him a tremendous asset to our team and retail partners.”

In his new role, Hair will work closely with national accounts to support item assortment, go-to-market strategy and continued category growth for Yo Quiero’s full lineup of fresh dips and refrigerated solutions.

“I’m excited to join the team at such an important time for the brand,” says Hair. “My career has given me the opportunity to sit on both sides of the desk, from managing produce categories at retail to supporting suppliers through the brokerage business, and I’m looking forward to helping Yo Quiero grow with strong retail partners across the country.”
