Fresh cranberries had a very good year in 2020.

According to IRI retail scan numbers, total fresh cranberry sales in 2020 totaled $48.21 million, up 10% from 2019.

Total retail volume of fresh cranberries was 17.34 million pounds, up 4.6% compared with 2019. The average price per pound for all fresh cranberries was $2.78 per pound, up 14 cents per pound compared with the previous year.

For conventional fresh cranberries, IRI scan data shows that sales were $43.3 million, up 7.8% from 2019. Volume of conventional fresh cranberries sold was 16.5 million pounds, up 4.1% compared with 2019.

The retail price average for conventional fresh cranberries was $2.62 per pound, up 9 cents per pound compared with 2019. Retail sales of organic fresh cranberries was pegged at $4.9 million, up 34.7% compared with 2019. Volume of fresh organic cranberries was 836,788 pounds, up 14% compared with 2019. The retail price for organic fresh cranberries in 2020 was $5.86 per pound, up 90 cents per pound compared with a year ago.
