The Sept 20 California grape storage report shows grapes in cold storage in mid-September totaled 8.04 million packages, nearly unchanged from last year and up 2% from 2019.

The report detailed packages in storage on Sept. 15, compared with a year

  • Autumn royal: 129,426 packages, up from 63,849 packages;
  • Autumn crisp: 263,886 packages, up from 54,129 packages;
  • Autumn king 251,473 packages and up from 461,329 packages;
  • Other black: 787,850 packages up from 335,447 packages;
  • Other red: 1,265,089 packages, up from 1,188,964 packages;
  • Other white: 1,938,743 packages, up from 1,808,984 packages;
  • Timco: 156,371 packages, down from 167,626 packages;
  • Sweet globe: 391,327 packages, down from 405,974 packages;
  • Red globe: 131,490 packages down from 233,740 packages.
  • Scarlet royal: 1,728,413 packages, down from 2,397,237 packages; and
  • Allison 167,894 packages, up from 120,730 packages.
