Morning Kiss Organic has kicked off its imported organic pear season, and the Massachusetts-based brand says retailers can expect packham, d’anjou and bartlett varieties as the import season extends from March through June.
The organic pear offerings are available in full-size and half-size cartons, and retailers can also include an organic band around each piece of fruit to ensure proper ID and ring at checkout, according to a news release. Morning Kiss Organic says it also offers a 2-pound option, available in 12/2-pound or 18/2-pound packaging configurations.
“Pears hold universal appeal, and we are delighted to provide our retail partners with ample supply through our partnerships with organic growers,” Nelly Czajkowski, organic category manager and quality assurance manager for Morning Kiss Organic, said in the release. “This season presents numerous promotional opportunities for our valued partners.”
The brand says touting the nutritional benefits of pears — including fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants — as well as offering organic options will help bolster sales.
Morning Kiss Organic says it uses growers in Argentina, California and Washington that adhere to fair treatment of workers and sustainable agricultural practices to supply its organic pears. To maximize freshness, it packs pears fresh to order using streamlined inventory management practices, the release said.
