Chambersburg peaches will be available from Keystone Fruit Marketing, a division of Progressive Produce, starting the last week of July through the end of August.

“We’ve had ideal growing conditions providing us one of the nicest crops we’ve seen in years,” said Director of Sales and Marketing, Michael Blume. “Because of last year’s weather issues, we had 50% of a normal crop, but we’re expecting a full crop this year.”

Chambersburg peaches are most popular in Western Pennsylvania, but retailers outside of that area have started experiencing some interest in these peaches as well over the last several years.
“These are some of the best tasting peaches,” Blume added.

“Retailers should make large displays to entice impulse purchases. It’s important to cull the display throughout the day, assuring the consumers of some beautiful peaches to purchase!”

Keystone’s Chambersburg peaches, sized 2-1/2” and up, are packed in 25-pound cartons.
