Philadelphia-based AgroFresh will showcase its expanded product portfolio and global footprint following two strategic acquisitions at its booth, No. B2117, at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce and Floral Show this month in Atlanta.

AgroFresh will also offer FreshCloud platform demonstrations and will host an in-booth discussion on the effectiveness of integrating solutions across a crop journey from preharvest to retail, according to a news release.

AgroFresh invites attendees to its booth for “Get Berry Smart: How to Address Quality & Disruption Across the Supply Chain,” where experts will discuss solutions including Harvista, Berrisys and FreshCloud. The session will be held at 3:30-3:45 p.m. Eastern followed by a reception. Presenters include:

  • Deon Hugo, AgroFresh business development manager for the U.S. and Canada, will discuss AgroFresh’s technical solutions and their applications, specifically focusing on Berrisys and other postharvest solutions.
  • Kent Mueller, AgroFresh digital sales lead for North America, will share the digital innovation behind FreshCloud, AgroFresh’s proprietary platform for managing produce freshness. Mueller will speak to how FreshCloud uses data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide actionable insights for growers, packers and retailers. FreshCloud enables businesses to make more informed decisions about produce quality, storage and transportation optimization and, ultimately, food waste reduction by better predicting and managing freshness throughout the supply chain, according to the release.
  • Mike Tucker, AgroFresh director of retail and foodservice for North America, will focus on retail and foodservice applications offered by AgroFresh. Tucker will speak about how AgroFresh’s postharvest products, such as Harvista, Berrisys and FreshCloud, help retailers and foodservice companies maintain freshness and quality, reduce food waste and improve shelf life.

Through the recent acquisitions of Pace International, a provider of sustainable post-harvest solutions, and Tessara, a leader in intelligent packaging, AgroFresh has enhanced its offerings into key markets including China, Australia, Latin America, South Africa, and beyond, the release said.

“The Global Produce and Floral Show provides an ideal platform for AgroFresh to connect with industry leaders, growers, and partners from around the world,” said Clint Lewis, AgroFresh CEO and an IFPA director. “Our participation allows us to showcase our latest innovations in post-harvest solutions, share insights on market trends, and engage in meaningful conversations with stakeholders who are equally committed to sustainability and produce quality.”
