Sensei Farms says it has added baby spinach to its indoor-grown leafy greens, and its baby spinach will be available at Safeway and Acme in the mid-Atlantic region.

Sensei Farms’ baby spinach, which has a delicate texture and mild flavor, is grown year-round in its 30-acre greenhouse in Ontario, according to a news release.

“Our goal is to deliver the freshest, responsibly grown fruits and vegetables throughout the year,” said Jessica Vasisht, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Sensei Farms. “We’re eager to add Sensei Farms Baby Spinach to our lineup and excited to continue expanding our portfolio over the next year.”

The company says all of its leafy green varieties, including baby spinach, are available in sustainable packaging, featuring a recyclable, moisture-resistant paperboard tray, 360-degree product visibility and “peel and reseal” closure.
