After 10 weeks of sampling recipes for delicious, convenient meals from throughout the U.S., Spice World and tens of thousands of its customers determined the best, according to a news release. As part of its 75th anniversary celebration, the Orlando, Fla.-based brand has published 10 of the top-voted regional recipes in an e-cookbook full of meals, appetizers, side dishes and other specialty fare.

Everything on the menu in e-cookbook meets the criteria of being both flavorful and easy to make. Some of the favorite regional foods include Easy Onion Cavatappi Mac and Cheese, a twist on the popular Midwest dish; Steak Short Ribs with Garlic Chili Oil, enjoyed in the Southwest region; and Ginger Shrimp Dumplings from California, where Spice World grows garlic and has facilities in Coalinga.

Spice World said it has reflected with consumers all summer on how its founder, Andy “Pops” Caneza, started the company in 1949 in New Orleans after returning from European duty during World War II and even sold products on the go from his family station wagon. Over the years the business has expanded to all 50 states and online.

“Our consumers have told us they want to prepare new types of meals which break typical routines, and Spice World seeks to inspire consumers with cooking ideas from these regional discoveries to make at home,” Spice World CEO Chris Kiser said in the release. “Deeply rooted in our founder’s original vision for providing high-quality, year-round flavor and excellent customer service, we intend to innovate, grow and make a positive impact on America’s culinary creations.”

During this commemorative year, the Spice World said its team has given back through volunteering and making donations to nonprofits in communities across the country, including Central Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida in Orlando, Central California Food Bank in Coalinga and Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans. Additional volunteering and donations will take place in more cities in the coming weeks.

Additionally, one consumer who voted for a recipe in the Spice World 75th Recipe Roadtrip Giveaway will receive an all-expenses-paid vacation for two to New Orleans, the release said.
