Mastronardi Produce has announced the latest four SKUs in its berries lineup; Sunset’s Summer Series line will debut at the International Fresh Produce Association’s Global Produce and Floral Show this month in Atlanta, according to a news release.

The Summer Series includes the Summer Dream Raspberry, launched in 2023, and will introduce the Summer Delight Strawberry, Summer Magic Blackberry, and Summer Pop Blueberry to the market, the release said.

Following the success and positive reception from the launch of the Summer Dream Raspberry, consumers and retailers anticipated the addition of more berries, Mastronardi Produce said.

“Consumers have demonstrated they are looking for flavorful berries with lasting freshness, and we believe the Summer Series will exceed their expectations,” Dean Taylor, vice president of business development at Mastronardi Produce Ltd. “Freshly picked and packed from our high-tech greenhouses, these berry varieties are set to outperform others in the category in both flavor and shelf life.”

In recent years, berries have become one of the fastest-growing segments in produce and continuing to experience year-over-year growth, according to the release.

Since 2003, Mastronardi Produce says it has been a leader in the greenhouse berries category, providing consistency in quality and taste.

With a lively and colorful label design featuring tropical and summer-inspired imagery, the Summer Series packaging is easily identifiable on the shelf and represents the energy of the summer season, the release said. Mastronardi Produce will be exhibiting at the booth No. 1639 at the IFPA Global Produce and Floral Show.
