As World Water Day approaches on March 22, Continental Fresh says it is reaffirming its commitment to making a difference — one Water For All mango at a time — using fresh produce as a force for good.
With 785 million people worldwide still lacking access to clean drinking water, the need for sustainable solutions has never been greater, the company said in a news release.
Through its partnership with Blue Missions, Continental Fresh said it is funding clean water projects that transform lives in Latin American communities. By bridging the gap between agriculture and social impact, the company said it is proving that quality produce and corporate responsibility can go hand in hand, creating a ripple effect of change far beyond the fields.
“At Continental Fresh, we believe that fresh produce can do more than nourish bodies — it can transform lives,” said Alejandro Guerrero, sales and marketing representative for Continental Fresh. “Water For All mangoes are our way of turning that belief into action, ensuring that every box sold directly supports clean water access and improved sanitation for communities in need.”
Through the Water For All initiative, a portion of proceeds from every box of mangoes helps build wells and sanitation systems in rural areas, bringing more than just water — it brings opportunity, health and hope for a better future, the release said. In partnership with Blue Missions, this program has already funded numerous projects, transforming thousands of lives, one drop at a time.
This World Water Day, Continental Fresh said it is calling on retailers, industry partners and consumers to take action and be part of the solution. By stocking Water For All mangoes, retailers can join a movement that goes beyond produce, delivering real change to communities in need, the release said.
To make an even greater impact, Continental Fresh encourages wearing blue on World Water Day as a statement of solidarity with the millions who lack access to clean water.
Those in Miami also join Blue Missions and Continental Fresh on March 22 for the Walk for Water at Bill Baggs State Park, set for 10 a.m. ET. The event represents the daily struggle millions face just to collect water, the release said. For those who cannot attend, the company said a donation of just $25 can provide one person with clean drinking water.
