Cincinnati, Ohio-based Total Quality Logistics has provided more than $80,000 in grants to nonprofit groups this year.

As a part of the company’s celebration for surpassing three billion dollars in sales revenue in 2018, prizes and giveaways to employees included 27 $3,000 grants from the TQL Foundation totaling $81,000, according to a news release.

The 27 TQL groups winning the grants decided where to donate them. The money is in addition to nearly $2 million TQL invested in communities this year, according to the release. TQL employs more than 5,600 people in 57 offices nationwide, according to the company.

“The energy and enthusiasm our teams have for giving is inspiring,” TQL president Kerry Byrne said in the release. “When we empower our people to decide how to invest our charitable donations, they are even more motivated to volunteer with these same organizations.”

In 2018, TQL donated close 4,000 volunteer hours to more than 1,800 different charities across the nation.
A total of 21 non-profit organizations will benefit from the TQL Foundation grants, broken down into the following fields of giving:

  • Children/women wellness: 44%;
  • Medical/disease: 37%;
  • Military/public service: 11%;
  • Other: 8%.
