The U.S. Department of Agriculture is reporting that Suncrest Produce is not restricted from operating in the industry.

The USDA on Oct. 5 reported Suncrest Produce, Winter Haven, Fla., had been sanctioned under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act for not paying a Virginia seller less than $27,000.

On Oct. 9, the USDA reported the company is not sanctioned, and isn’t restricted from operating. Its principal, Jason Turner, is also allowed to be employed by and affiliated with PACA licensees, according to the USDA.

Turner was listed as the principal at the company, which would have led to the USDA barring him from being employed by or affiliated with a PACA licensee.
