Based in New York City, Sowder brings more than 10 years of experience to her position, including staff positions at The News-Press in Florida, Chowhound.com and Smitten Kitchen in New York.
“I am excited to add such a highly regarded journalist to reinforce The Packer’s commitment to providing the most robust and trusted news coverage in the Northeast and Eastern Seaboard,” said Shannon Shuman, vice president and publisher for The Packer. “Amy’s editorial coverage will strengthen The Packer’s commitment to covering this important geography as the produce market grows in this major population center of the U.S.”
