Brighter Bites, a nonprofit organization that provides fresh produce to underserved communities, has announced its top donors.

Collectively, the organizations have donated produce distributed by Brighter Bites to 27,000 families in Houston, Dallas and Austin, Texas, New York City, the Washington D.C. metropolis area and Southwest Florida during the 2018-19 school year, according to a news release.

Brighter Bites’ largest donors are: 

Logistical support and remaining produce are made possible from the support of Brighter Bites Feeding America Food Bank partners, including the Houston Food Bank, North Texas Food Bank, City Harvest, Capital Area Food Bank and Harry Chapin Food Bank, according to the release.

“Our ability to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to our families is completely dependent on the support of our partners,” Rich Dachman, Brighter Bites CEO, said in the release. “The generous donations of produce from these partners and other suppliers, alongside our extraordinary partnerships with our food banks, allows us to achieve our mission of improving the health of our society, especially those who have fewer resources.”
