Fullei Fresh, Miami, is recalling organic bean sprouts from Whole Foods Markets in Florida because of a possible Listeria Monocytogenes contamination.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, posted on the Food and Drug Administration’s website March 8.
The sprouts were shipped to Whole Foods in Florida and Miami distributor Freedom Fresh, according to the recall notice.
Fullei Fresh issued the recall after the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services tested a sample of the sprouts pulled from a store shelf.
The sprouts are packed in 4-ounce clamshells with lot codes of 041 and sell by date of Feb. 28 (printed on back label). The Universal Product Code is 017442052108.
